Mindy Meyer, Owner
Welcome to K9 Country! I’m Mindy, the proud owner and primary caretaker of K9 Country. As a dedicated mom, wife, and avid animal lover, I’ve always dreamed of creating a safe, loving space where dogs can feel at home while their families are away. That dream became a reality when we opened the doors of K9 Country in December 2022. At K9 Country, we strive to create an environment where dogs feel like part of our family and owners can rest easy knowing their pets are in good hands. You’ll often find my son assisting with the care of the dogs, as he loves spending time with them and is an invaluable part of our team. I dedicate my days to caring for the dogs, with a strong passion for making sure each one feels comfortable, safe, and loved during their stay. I have three dogs of my own—Odie, Agnes, and Reba—and when I’m not at K9 Country, I enjoy spending time at my mom’s farm or with my family and friends. I also raise and show Miniature Horses. We are truly grateful for the trust our customers have placed in us since opening, and we find great joy in watching returning dogs excited to come back, as well as helping new dogs feel at ease in a boarding setting. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness the growth in each dog as they build trust with us, allowing us to bring out their true personalities. Thank you will never be enough for allowing me to live my dream every day. We are honored to care for your dogs and look forward to welcoming new customers and their furry companions. If you haven’t yet experienced the K9 Country way, we would love to meet you and your dog soon!
Meet the Team

Brianna Lucey
Hello, my name is Brianna. I currently have 3 pups of my own: Brandy, Mitzi, and Queenie Bee. I grew up in the Guttenberg area for most of my life, and animals have always been a love of mine since I was little. I was raised on a dairy farm outside of Guttenberg, and I currently have a horse named Rosie.
My boyfriend and I currently live in Garnavillo, and we enjoy hiking, riding SxS with friends and groups, adventuring to new places, spending time with family, and of course, enjoying time with our dogs. Brandy and Queenie Bee are our mother-daughter duo and Mitzi is our rescue pup who came into the vet clinic where I was working 2 years ago, abandoned during an ice storm. Brandy and Queenie are both Mini/Toy Australian Shepherds, while Mitzi is believed to be a Husky/Australian Shepherd mix. Brandy is 4, Queenie is 7 months, and Mitzi is 2. They are the best girls, and everyone says they are the best dogs - and they are not wrong!
I love getting to spoil the pups as they stay at their home away from home at K9 Country. The best part of the job is watching all the dogs develop their own personalities over time and getting to know them.
I look forward to getting to know your pup at their next stay with K9 Country!

Hello! I'm Stephanie and a treat dealer here at K9 Country! I am a mom of two humans, Spencer and Pfeiffer, and two rescue pups, a very moody mixed black lab named Molly Mae McMuffin and a troublemaker Aussie-doodle named Mosley Mayhem McMuffin.
My kids tell me that I'm obsessed with dogs and they are not wrong! It's great news for you because once your pup walks in I'm instantly OBSESSED. I love seeing the ones that run in and are super excited to be there just as much as I do the timid ones that take some time warming up. Finding out your pups unique personalities and being able to love on them while they are here is food for the soul! They truly do become MY dogs when they stay!
